I can’t think of any reason not to give Joel the highest rating. He was recommended to my husband, Brian, and me by a friend. From our first meeting, I felt like Joel “got” us, and we felt comfortable with him. Even before we hired Joel, he took the time to ask questions about how we met, what we’re like as a couple, and what things about the wedding mattered most to us. I think our essence as a couple comes through in the pictures, if that makes sense. We really like his photojournalistic style. Brian and I didn’t want a lot of stuffy, posed portraits; for the posed shots we did have, Joel was quick to set them up and get them over with. Joel captured a lot of great candid moments throughout the day. He also took some gorgeous shots of our rings and found a nice outdoor spot to shoot Brian and me, both of which we hadn’t thought of before but were glad that Joel suggested. He has a great eye. Logistically, Joel was very responsive. During the planning process, he answered emails and calls quickly. He got us the edited shots within two weeks of the wedding and had the public gallery webpage ready promptly. All in all, we were extremely happy with Joel!
Joel was absolutely amazing! Any time we had any question he would respond right away and was willing to help with an idea we had. he made both the engagement and wedding photos very relaxed and easy...and they turned out amazing!
My Husband and I decided to use Joel as our photographer after seeing the wonderful photo's he did at my brother's wedding months before. Leading up to our wedding day he stayed on top of everything and asked for a lot of information to insure he touched all bases. He's a nice guy and easy to talk to but best of all, he has a great sense of humor. That definitely came in handy while working with our family!
We were impressed by his portfolio but truly blown away after seeing how our pictures turned out. All I had to do is give him a hint of an idea and he ran with it and turned it into a reality. Joel did an amazing job at our wedding. He has a great eye and is very talented. He works with whatever you need or want and can help to make suggestions if you are not exactly sure of what you really want. His prices can't be beat and he has pricing options available for all budgets. He is a great guy and extremely professional. I tell everyone that is getting married to use him because you won't be disappointed.
Working with Joel was a wonderful experience. He is amazingly talented and has a very artistic eye, but also paid close attention to what you wanted in your photographs. He is professional and extremely thorough. The photographs were all beautiful, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Ashley and I were married in February 2010 and Joel photographed our engagement session as well as our actual wedding. We scheduled the engagement session at the river were Ashley and I spend a lot of our time. Joel was able to capture some amazing moments by the water, and the pictures were amazing!! He really has an eye as to what shots would work. Our wedding was a similar situation. We were very pleased with the outcome of the pictures. Joel was able to capture some precious moments of my husband and I on our wedding day! As well as our family and friends! There is one that I absolutely love and that is when we had our first dance..that is a moment that will be cherished forever and Im glad Joel was able to capture that. My fiance Jason and I were honored to have Joel take our engagment pictures. He was able to capture the way we really feel about each other. When looking for a wedding photographer, we knew we wanted someone who was creative, easy to work with, and affordable. Joel Rotunda is all these and more! We found Joel by doing a 'Google' search. We were impressed with his photos and really appreciated his philosophy. He did our engagement pictures, bridal shoot, and wedding photography -- all turned out beautifully. We were really concerned about our engagement photoshoot because it had to be one of the hottest, most humid days of the year -- we were miserably hot and sweaty, but he made us look great! Joel was wonderful to work with -- very personable and not pushy or bossy with us or the wedding party. He will travel where ever you suggest and will do the legwork to set it up. We cannot say enough good things about Joel!
